The Tarangire River and the towering baobab trees, which tower above some of the lesser animal species below, are the park’s highlights. Over 3000 elephants, wildebeests, and zebras migrate through the Tarangire-Lake Manyara environment each year. In addition to the abundance of elephants, you might also witness giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, warthogs, and three endangered species: the lesser and Greater Kudu, Oryx, and the Ash stallion. Drive back to the campsite for dinner and an overnight stay as the late afternoon draws to a close, either before or just after nightfall.

Day 2: Tarangire to Lake Manyara, and Lake Eyasi

Start your journey to Lake Manyara National Park after breakfast. This park is located in a stunningly scenic area, and a network of underground water streams maintains the park’s lush vegetation all year long. A variety of animals are attracted to the park’s diversified habitats and steady supply of water, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, giraffes, hippos, and several antelopes. This region is also home to baboons, velvet monkeys, and blue monkeys. Notably, Lake Manyara is famed for its prodigious flocks of flamingos and tree-climbing lions, which are among the park’s principal draws.

The 6-day Tanzania safari journey continues with a drive to Lake Eyasi, providing an opportunity for cultural immersion, after lunch at one of the authorized picnic areas within the park. The journey takes around 1.5 hours and leads to Lake Eyasi by ascending and passing through the impressive Great Rift Valley escarpment. You’ll get the option to interact with the Datoga tribe, who are renowned for being expert blacksmiths, when you arrive. They will kindly show you around their residences while encouraging conversation and answering your questions. The next thing on the schedule is a trip to the blacksmith. A leisurely stroll around the lake’s banks as the day turns into twilight will treat you to an amazing sunset. You’ll then return to the campsite for a hearty meal and an overnight stay.

Your 6 Days Affordable Tanzania Camping Safari will take you to Serengeti National Park later in the morning. The path will take you across the Ngorongoro highlands and via magnificent high-altitude farmlands in Karatu.
