Applying for a Tanzania Visa

When speaking of Tanzania visa, it means the United Republic of Tanzania, which is Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar. There are two ways of applying for a Tanzanian visa: An Online Visa (eVisa) and an On-arrival visa. You can no longer issue a Tanzania visa at an embassy.

The on-arrival visa facility is usually good for people whose nationalities do not fall under the Referral Visa category. If you want to issue a Tanzanian visa on arrival, make sure you check the status of your nationality. If it falls under the Referral Visa category, you are recommended to use the online visa application instead. For this category, applicants will have to wait for the approval of their application to start their journey. Please visit http://visa.immigration.go.tz/guidlines to see if your country is under the Referral Visa category.

Applying for a visa online is highly recommended because it saves time and money. You can opt for the online application form from wherever you are, pay for the particular visa you are applying for, and submit your application. Following that, you will receive an email advising you whether your application has been accepted or rejected. You can also be required to visit the nearest Tanzanian Embassies or Consular Offices for an interview if required.
