Kichuguu camp is located near Tarangire gate in Tarangire national park captures detail and elegance in their service. Kichuguu camp was constructed in 2017 with semi-permanent structures and is part of the collections of Chaka camps. The camp is a high end accommodation facility with boutique style tents providing comfort to the guests.

The phrase kichuguu is a Swahili word which means scattered termite mounds. The 11 boutique styled tents at Kichuguu have been described as an ideal selection for guests who value distinction and privacy.

Tarangire national park where the Kichuguu camp is found is a safari destination which has savannah plains, riverine grasslands, swamps and woodland and baobab trees as part of its landscape which can be explored during a safari.

Activities provided to guests staying at Kichuguu camp include game drives like morning and afternoon game drives as well as night game drives. The camp operates all year round for guests although the months which are recommended for game viewing in Tarangire national park is late June to October.

The rooms at Kichuguu camp have ensuite bathrooms and also include a flush toilet and a traditional bucket shower. The room types at the camp include twin or double rooms which are carpeted, have bedside tables and lights, a writing desk and a chest of drawers.

On request, the standard rooms or tents can be made into triples or quad rooms depending on what the guests prefer during their stay at Kichuguu camp. The camp does not have restrictions on the ages of the children staying at the camp.

Each of the tents at the camp has a furnished verandah. Families are also catered for during their stay at the camp where there is a tent that is designed for families with ensuite tents which are interconnecting having a shared lounge.

The central area at the camp has a lounge tent as well as a bar which although small in size has comfortable seating. Kichuguu camp also has a library where guests can select books and also board games. 

Dining at Kichuguu camp is in a tent where all meals are served at individual tables. The camp also has a small camp fire area where guests can relax. Other amenities at the camp include WIFI provided in the communal area, laundry at an extra cost.

The camp also supports the local community and encourages conservation. This is through ecofriendly practices like using solar power and practicing recycling for instance some of the furniture in the made from recycled material like plastic.

The camp also supports the local community through using locally sourced organic produce to prepare meals for guests staying at the camp. Another way the camp has supported tourism and the local community is through employing the locals as staff at the camp.
