Detailed Itinerary 7 Days Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire Fly-in Safari

Day 1: Fly to Serengeti National Park, Game Drive

Upon your arrival at the Seronera Airstrip, our Tanzania safari guide shall be ready to pick you. He will welcome you to the Serengeti, brief you about the safari and then proceed to drive you to the lodge. Enjoy wild game viewing en-route as you drive to your lodge. Check in; relax as you wait for lunch. Later at 3pm, head out for a game drive in the park and enjoy wild game viewing. Dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 2-3: Optional Balloon Safari, Game Drives!

Rising at dawn with tea and coffee at around 5 am you will be driven to the starting point of be briefed by the guide then take off with the balloon to have an aerial view of the park and see animals at eagle’s eye angle. Other animals observed are Elephants, Zebras, Giraffes, Impala, Topi, Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, waterbuck, wild dogs, Jackals, Warthogs, Hippos, Nile crocodiles, Gazelle etc. After the morning Serengeti Balloon return back to the lodge for lunch, you will find the driver waiting for you at your landing point drive you the lodge refresh yourselves from such a wonderful experience. Afternoon go for further game drives in the afternoon before returning to the camp as the sun sets. Dinner and overnight as above.

Day 4: Transfer to Ngorongoro with en-route Olduvai Gorge Stop, Crater Rim Walk

Drive Time: 145km, Approx. 3-4 hours.

After breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park, you will check out of your lodge and proceed for an en-route game drive on your way to Ngorongoro conservation area. You will have a visit to Ol Duvai gorge, which is an archaeological site where evidence of early man relating to human evolution was discovered by Dr. Mary and Louis Leakey. Enjoy packed lunch en-route and game viewing. 

Embark on a crater rim walk for as you drive to your lodge. Check in, relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Drive, Maasai Bomas Visit

Your will enjoy an early breakfast at the lodge and with a packed lunch which will be enjoyed in the crater, descend to the Ngorongoro crater to see different attractions such as Lake Magadi which is found at the center of the crater. As you explore the Ngorongoro crater, you will also see flamingos along the shores of Lake Magadi in big numbers as well as other bird species. You will also see wildlife species in the crater area such as elephants, buffalos, rhinos, zebras, waterbucks, antelopes, hyenas, gazelles, kudus, predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs.

The Ngorongoro Crater is known to host all the big 5 animals, look out for them while on a game drive in the largest caldera in the world. You will also enjoy beautiful views of the scenery around you as you explore the Ngorongoro conservation area. After your picnic lunch, enjoy a Maasai Bomas visit for an opportunity to visit and interact with the local Maasai people that still live amongst the wildlife!

You will then proceed to your lodge, check in and relax as you wait for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Tarangire National Park Game Drive and Drive to Arusha

You shall have your breakfast at the lodge and with your lunch boxes, drive to Tarangire National Park for an amazing half-day wild game viewing experience. Tarangire National Park is famous for large herds of elephants, and large baobab trees. Look out for other animals in the park like zebras, giraffes, lions, large herds of elephants which the park is famous for, and so much more.

Enjoy lunch in the wilderness and another game viewing opportunity as you leave the park driving to Arusha. Check in at the hotel in Arusha relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay.
