7 Days Lake Natron, Serengeti, & Ngorongoro safari starts in Arusha and then continues to the different national parks in the northern part of Tanzania such as Tarangire national park, Serengeti national park and the Ngorongoro crater. You will engage in game drives in the various national parks such as Tarangire national park Serengeti national park and Ngorongoro crater. During your 7 days Lake Natron and northern Tanzania safari, you will also have a guided walk to the waterfalls with a Maasai guide.

Lake Natron is a soda ash lake located in the Arusha region north of Tanzania. You will enjoy a safari around Lake Natron and see flamingos along the lake shores. After your experience in the northern part of Serengeti national park and central Serengeti, you will visit the Ngorongoro crater which is also a big 5 wildlife viewing destination. At the end of your 7 days Lake Natron and northern Tanzania safari, your guide will drive you to back to Arusha.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1; pick up and drive to the hotel in Arusha

Your guide will pick you up from the airport and welcome you for your safari in Tanzania. You will have a short briefing about your safari and later proceed to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Tulia boutique hotel and spa.

Depending on your time of arrival in Arusha, you will have an optional tour around Arusha and enjoy visiting the local market, art and craft shops and interacting with the locals and later, you will return to your hotel to spend the night.

Day 2; drive to Tarangire national park

After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha on the 2nd day of your safari, your guide will drive you to Tarangire national park where you will enjoy a game drive in the national park and look out for wildlife species such as elephants, lions, leopards, zebras, hippos, giraffes, antelopes among others.

You will have lunch at your lodge and later engage in a game drive to explore Tarangire national park as you enjoy seeing baobab trees as well as attractions such as the Tarangire river which flows through the national park. After your game drive, you will drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Tarangire Roika lodge.

Day 3; drive to Lake Natron

You will have breakfast at your lodge; you will drive to Lake Natron where you will enjoy seeing many flamingos at the lake shore. You will also engage in walk to the waterfalls in the company of a Maasai guide. The hike to the waterfalls takes about 2 to 3 hours and takes place along the river bed with beautiful views of the valley.

After your experience around Lake Natron, your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Maasai giraffe ecolodge.

Day 4; drive to Serengeti national park (north)

You will be driven to Serengeti national park after your experience in Lake Natron. You will engage in a safari around the northern part of Serengeti national park around the Lobo area which is home to big cats such as lions and leopards. You will have lunch at your lodge after checking in as you prepare for a game drive to see different attractions and wildlife species in the northern part of Serengeti national park.

Your dinner and overnight after your game drive will be at your lodge in the central part of Serengeti national park at Osinon camps and lodges.

Day 5; central Serengeti safari

You will explore the central part of Serengeti national park after breakfast at your lodge and look out for wildlife species like lions, leopards and cheetahs which are in big numbers in the Seronera area. The central part of Serengeti national park is popular among tourists and is home to a variety of wildlife species such as elephants, buffalos, hippos, zebras, gazelles, antelopes, kudu, waterbucks, giraffes, elands and many others.

You will have lunch and explore more of the open savannah and woodland of Serengeti national park. You will return to your lodge after your game drive in Serengeti national park and have your dinner and overnight at Osinon camps and lodges.

Day 6; drive to Ngorongoro crater

After having breakfast at your lodge, you will be driven from Serengeti national park to the Ngorongoro conservation area. You will engage in a safari in the world’s largest inactive caldera which is found west of Arusha. You will engage in a game drive in the Ngorongoro crater and see wildlife species such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffalos, zebras, hyenas, warthogs, hippos, wildebeests, rhinos among others.

You will descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater and enjoy beautiful views during your safari as you search for wildlife species like the big 5. You will also see attractions such as Lake Magadi during your safari and also flamingos along the lake shores. Your guide will later drive you back to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Hhando coffee lodge.

Day 7; drive to Arusha

You will have breakfast at your lodge ahead of your drive back to Arusha where your guide will drive you to the airport or your hotel in Arusha and this will bring your 7 days Lake Natron and northern Tanzania safari to an end.
