Detailed Itinerary of 6 Days Zanzibar, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara Safari

Day 1: Arrival and drive to Stone town

You will be picked up from the airport upon arrival by our driver in Zanzibar. Proceed for a Stone Town tour taking you through the ancient alleyways and iconic stops made en route, punctuated with a lunch stop.

Later proceed to the resort. Check-in and relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay at Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort.

Day 2: Zanzibar beach experience

You will have a day to relax at the white sand beach of Zanzibar island and enjoy views of the Indian Ocean from your resort as above.

Day 3: Fly to Arusha Airport (Own Booking), Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Game Drive, Guided Walking Safari
Our driver shall transfer you to the ZNZ airport arriving in time for your flight. Upon arrival, you shall be met by your Tanzania safari guide at the Arusha Airport and then briefed about your 3 Days Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater Safari. After, you shall proceed for a drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, known for hosting well over 25,000 animals and amazing landscapes.

Enjoy a game drive in the conservancy, devour your picnic lunch in the wilderness and then get to walk along the Ngorongoro Crater rim on a guided nature walk in the conservancy. Come up close with nature and wild animals including antelopes, zebras, and so much more. Drive to your lodge thereafter for dinner and an overnight stay at Acacia Ngorongoro Luxury Camp for Luxury

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Drive, Maasai Bomas
After a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge, you will be driven to the famous Ngorongoro crater where you will visit the world’s largest in-active caldera which has beautiful views and is home to over 25000 animals such as cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, leopards, lions, buffalos, kudu and many others, including the famous African big five.

After descending about 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater, you will also enjoy seeing flamingos in the Ngorongoro crater as you enjoy a game drive and take photos. Thereafter, you interact with the Maasai tribe living in the Bomas, in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area itself! Learn of their culture and way of life, how they co-exist with the wild animals. Drive to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay as above.

Day 5: Drive to Lake Manyara National Park, Walking Safari

After having breakfast at your lodge, your guide will drive you to Lake Manyara National Park which is home to the tree-climbing lions and also elephants and other wildlife species. You will have a stop in Mto wa Mbu town where you will visit craft shops and also interact with the locals on your way to the national park.

Enjoy lunch, and later on get to embark on one of the most amazing activities, a guided walking safari. A walking safari in Lake Manyara brings you up close with nature and wildlife including zebras, antelopes, and giraffes, among so many others. The walking safari is guided by park officials who are conversant with the park.

Return to the lodge thereafter, relax as you wait for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Optional Mto wa Mbu Cultural Tour, Departure

You will have breakfast at the lodge and with your packed lunch head out for a cultural tour in Mto wa Mbu getting to explore the different cultures and tribes of Tanzania. After, your guide will drive you to Arusha and drop you off at the airport in time to catch your outbound flight, which will mark the end of your safari.
