6 Days Best of Tanzania Wildlife safari is an adventure to different attractions in the northern part of Tanzania that begins and ends in Arusha and these wildlife viewing experiences will begin in Lake Manyara national park, and continue to Serengeti national park and Ngorongoro conservation area and finally, you will also explore Tarangire national park to engage in various activities and visit different attractions as seen in the itinerary below;

Detailed itinerary

Day 1; pick up and drive to Lake Manyara national park

pick up and drive to Lake Manyara: Your guide will pick you up from the airport and you will be welcomed and also have a short briefing of your 6 Days Best of Tanzania Wildlife safari. After your briefing, you will continue your journey to Lake Manyara national park. You will have a stop in Mto wa Mbu town on your way to the national park and you will engage in an interaction with the local community of the Maasai people who live in this town and during your community visit, you will go to the traditional homesteads known as “manyattas”, listen to traditional folk stories and music, watch traditional dance performances.
You will continue your drive to Lake Manyara national park where you will check in at your lodge and have lunch. After lunch, you will have an evening game drive to experience the wild nature of the national park and to see wildlife species such as the elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, antelopes, zebras, impalas, buffalos among others. You will also visit Lake Manyara which covers about two thirds of the national park. After this experience, you will drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight on the first night of your safari.

Day 2; drive to Serengeti national park

drive to Serengeti national park: Breakfast will be served at your lodge on the 2nd day of your safari before you check out of the lodge and continue your journey to Serengeti national park for more wildlife viewing experiences. You will have an en-route game drive on your way to your lodge in Serengeti national park where you will check in and have your lunch.
You will have an evening game drive to enjoy the sunset as you look for wildlife species such as elephants, buffalos, rhinos, lions, leopards which are referred to as the big five. You will also visit different attractions in the national park to look for more wildlife and bird species. You will return to your lodge at the ends of the day for dinner and overnight.

Day 3; Full day in Serengeti national park

Full day in Serengeti national park: On the 3rd day of your safari, you will have breakfast early in the morning and then proceed for your morning game drive to see the wildlife species that are usually active in the morning and can easily be spotted and these include wildebeests which are a spectacular sight to see during the great wildebeest migration when thousands of wildebeest migrate from Masai Mara national reserve to Serengeti national park in search of greener pastures across the Grumeti river. You will also see other wildlife species in the savannah plains of the national park during your game drive.
You will have lunch at your lodge after your morning game drive. Later in the evening, you will have another game drive during which you will visit different attractions as well as wildlife species such as elephants, waterbucks, hippos, buffalos, rhinos, giraffes, lions, leopards, cheetahs, elands, gazelles, hartebeests, impalas, antelopes, warthogs, hyenas among others. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight after your wildlife viewing experience.

Day 4; drive to Ngorongoro conservation area

drive to Ngorongoro conservation area: Breakfast will be served at your lodge before you check out of the lodge in Serengeti national park and then continue your journey to the Ngorongoro conservation area. You will have an optional visit to Ol duvai gorge for an archaeological experience and later proceed to explore the crater rim. You will later descend into the Ngorongoro crater after having your lunch.
During your drive around the crater area, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery around as well as attractions such as Lake Magadi which is found in the center of the crater and is a good spot for seeing many flamingos along the shores as well as other bird species. You will also see wildlife species such as elephants, buffalos, rhinos, lions, leopards, giraffes, wildebeests, antelopes, zebras, waterbucks, hartebeests, hyenas, warthogs among others. You will later return to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night.

Day 5; drive to Tarangire national park

drive to Tarangire national park: Your breakfast will be served at your lodge before you check out of the lodge ahead of your drive to Tarangire national park for another wildlife adventure. Upon arrival in the national park, you will have an en route game drive on your way to your lodge where you will have your lunch.
After your lunch, you will continue into the savannah plains of Tarangire national park where you will see wildlife species grazing and roaming in the national park such as tree climbing lions, giraffes, buffalos, antelopes, waterbucks, antelopes, zebras, gazelles, hyenas, warthogs as well as a variety of bird species. You will have dinner and overnight after your game drive and your guide will drive you to the lodge as you enjoy the sunset.

Day 6; Drive to Arusha

Drive to Arusha: You will have breakfast at your lodge in Tarangire national park before checking out of the lodge ahead of your drive to Arusha. You will have an en route game drive in the savannah plains as you continue to drive out of the national park on your journey back to Arusha where you will be dropped off at a location of your preference which will mark the end of your 6 days Tanzania safari.
