5 Days Tanzania Safari Tour is a safari experience in Tarangire national park, Serengeti national park as well as the Ngorongoro conservation area which are some of the wildlife viewing destinations located in the northern part of Tanzania. You will engage in game drives in the morning and in the afternoon as you explore the different national parks and enjoy seeing the wildlife species during your 5 days Tanzania tour in Serengeti national park and Tarangire national park. Serengeti national park is the oldest national park in Tanzania and is famous for the annual wildebeest migration and also for having a large number of wildlife species and its vast savannah plains dotted with trees.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1; pick up and drive to Tarangire national park

Pick up will be at Kilimanjaro international airport or at your hotel in Arusha and your guide will welcome you and brief you shortly about your 5 days Tanzania tour. After you have been briefed, you will embark on your wildlife viewing safari to Tarangire national park where you will enjoy seeing large herds of elephants as well as attractions like Tarangire river. You will check in at your lodge in the national park and have your lunch.

After your lunch, you will engage in a morning game drive in Tarangire national park which is also home to over 500 bird species. You will see many other wildlife species like klipspringers, elands, zebras, lions and leopards and later return to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night at Tarangire Roika lodge.

Day 2; morning game drive and transfer to Serengeti national park

You will start your 2nd day of the 5 days Tanzania tour with breakfast at your lodge in Tarangire national park where you will engage in a morning game drive to see more wildlife species in the national park and later transfer to Serengeti national park which is also located in the northern part of Tanzania.

After checking in at your lodge and having lunch, you will engage in an afternoon wildlife viewing experience in Serengeti national park and you will see a variety of wildlife species such as elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos, hippos, antelopes, zebras, impalas, gazelles, cheetahs and many others. You will return to your lodge after the afternoon game drive and you will have dinner and spend the night at Serengeti heritage luxury tented camps and lodges.

Day 3; full day in Serengeti national park

You will have breakfast served at your lodge in Serengeti national park as you prepare to spend the rest of the day exploring the savannah plains and woodlands in search of various wildlife species and also to enjoy seeing the many attractions around the national park like the kopjes such as the Simba kopjes where lions can be spotted.

You will also see wildlife species like wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, waterbucks, antelopes, hippos, buffalos, kudu, giraffes, elands and many others. You will have lunch while enjoying the beautiful views around the national park and later engage in another game drive. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Serengeti heritage luxury tented camps and lodges.

Day 4; drive to Ngorongoro crater

After starting the day with breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park, you will check out of the lodge and continue to drive to the famous Ngorongoro conservation area where you will visit the world’s largest inactive caldera. You will have lunch at your lodge before descending 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater as you enjoy a game drive in search of wildlife species and also enjoy the breathtaking views around the crater area.

During your visit to the Ngorongoro crater, you will see wildlife species such as hippos, buffalos, lions, antelopes, zebras, wildebeests, rhinos, cheetahs, hyenas and many others. You will also see flamingos along the shores of Lake Magadi in the Ngorongoro crater. You will have dinner and spend the night at Hhando coffee lodge.

Day 5; End of Safari

You will have breakfast at your lodge as you prepare to drive back to Arusha where your guide will drop you off at the airport or at your hotel and this will bring your 5 days Tanzania tour to an end.
