Day 1: Pick up and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
On the 1st day of your 5 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari, depending on your location in Kampala, your driver guide will pick you up, brief you about the tour and then start the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda.
On the way to you will have en-route lunch in Fort Portal where after you will continue the journey with spectacular views of the beautiful scenery, tea plantations and banana plantations, crater lakes among others.
Upon arrival you can go for an optional evening game drive. During this game drive you can spot different wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, warthogs among others. After return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Morning game drive & afternoon boat cruise
Wake up early in the morning, you will be served with breakfast at the lodge. After your driver guide will pick you up to go for morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
While on your game drive you will spot a variety of wildlife such as, big four mammals that is to say lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, other wildlife such as waterbucks, bushbucks, Uganda kobs, views of different bird species among others.
Later after the game drive you will return to the lodge for lunch. After your lunch, your guide will drive you to the landing site for an incredible evening boat cruise along Kazinga channel.
During the boat cruise which takes about 2 hours you will be able to Spot large concentrations of wildlife such as hippos, Nile crocodiles in water, view buffaloes, elephants, warthogs drinking water along the banks.
Also, you will spot water birds like yellow billed stork, cormorants, hornbills, African skimmer, kingfishers, fish eagles among others.
After your boat cruise experience return to the lodge for dinner and where you will stay overnight.
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and Visit crater lakes
Wake up early in the morning and be served with breakfast at the lodge, after you will meet up with your driver guide who will drive you Kyambura gorge for Chimpanzee trekking experience.
Upon arrival, you will be briefed about the rules and regulations of chimpanzee trekking and also you will be allocated with a park guide and start trekking in the forest in search of the habituated chimpanzees which takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on where the chimpanzees are located.
During Chimpanzee trekking, you will be able to spot other primate species like baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, view colourful bird species like African kingfisher, blue headed bee-eater, falcons, African finfoot and other animals like elephants, plant and tree species among others.
Once the chimpanzees are found you will be allowed to spend 1 hour with them in their natural habitat where you will learn more about their habits and behaviours. After spending one hour with the chimpanzees, you will trek back to the starting point where you will meet up with your driver guide and take you back to the lodge for lunch.
After having your lunch at the Lodge, your guide will drive you for a Crater Lakes experience where you will visit lakes such as Katwe Crater Lake, visit Nyamunuka Crater Lake, Lake Bunyampaka, Nyamunuka and many more. After the Crater Lakes tour you will drive back to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Game drive in Ishasha sector
After being served with breakfast, meet up with your guide to go for a full day game drive in Ishasha sector.
Upon arrival in the Ishasha sector which is famous for the tree climbing lions, you spot different wildlife such as Uganda kobs, waterbucks, buffaloes, elephants among others while taking on your game drive experience. After the game drive experience, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Departure
This is the last day of your 5 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari, wake up and have a relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer back to Kampala.
On the way you will a stopover at Igongo Cultural Center for lunch, another stopover at the Equator where you will buy souvenirs, take beautiful photos. After you will proceed to Kampala reaching early evening.
Upon arrival your driver guide will drop you off at any place of convenience.
