DAY 1: ARRIVAL KILIMANJARO – ARUSHA

Once in Arusha, spend the remainder of the day unwinding, recharging, and savoring your first taste of Africa. DAY 2-3: NGORONGORO CRATER
On the second day of your safari in Tanzania, rise early and depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area from Arusha. Enjoy the ride as the route goes across the Great Rift Valley, past the crater forest, and finally to the impressive Ngorongoro Crater, your destination.
It’s easy to understand why this extinct volcano is one of Tanzania’s most popular tourist sites. The crater, one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders, is teeming with elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, and even the endangered black rhino. It also has Africa’s largest concentration of species. DAY 4: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Have a sumptuous fresh breakfast as the sun rises before continuing on to your next Tanzanian destination: the Tarangire National Park for a full day of game viewing, following an action-packed day in the Ngorongoro Crater. Expect to see few other visitors while visiting one of the less popular national parks in the area, and you’ll have lots of private time to watch spectacular herds of elephants ambling through the distinctive Baobab trees.
The Tarangire offers unrivaled opportunities for elephant sightings as it is home to the largest number of wild elephants in the world. Up to 300 elephants in a herd may occasionally be spotted drinking from the Tarangire River‘s shallows or taking a refreshing mud bath.
