Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Bwindi impenetrable national park.

You will have a quick lunch in Rwanda, depending on when you arrive, and then start the four to five-hour drive to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After reaching the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you will check into any of the park’s lodges Silverback Lodge, Mahogany Spring, Buhoma Haven Lodge, Bakiga Lodge, Gorilla Mist Camp, Buhoma Lodge, Rushaga Gorilla Camp, among others for dinner and an overnight stay, depending on the area designated for gorilla trekking. Time frame: 4-5 hours’ drive from Kigali to Uganda. Meal plan: Lunch and Dinner.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park.

Gorilla Trekking Experience: This day 2 of this 3 Day Uganda Gorilla Safari in Bwindi is the most intriguing day of your life where you will spend a full hour standing close to mountain gorillas in the wilderness of Bwindi impenetrable national park. On this day 2, you will need to wake up very early in the morning around 5:30 am, have your breakfast as you warm up your nerves for the best adventurous activity in Bwindi. After breakfast, pack the lunch box that the lodge provides, together with enough supply of snacks, and meet the driver to begin the trip to park headquarters.

There, you will receive a briefing prior to the start of the exciting climb. You will be briefed about the dos and don’ts while in the jungle, then you may also decide to hire a porter or even two to assist you during the gorilla trekking safari from Rwanda. After the gorilla trek, return to the lodge, freshen up, enjoy your dinner and have a good night rest.

Day 3: Return to Kigali for departures.

After breakfast, leave the lodge and meet your driver to drive out of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and into Rwanda’s Kigali, the city of a thousand hills.

After lunch at any accommodation upon arriving in Rwanda, head to the airport for departures. If your flight is late at night, you can choose to take a quick tour of the city, stopping at marketplaces, coffee shops, and memorial sites related to the genocide in Kigali before driving to the airport in time for your departure.
