3 Days Ngorongoro Wildlife safari is a detailed wildlife viewing experience which takes place in the famous Ngorongoro conservation area where you will descend into the Ngorongoro crater where you will engage in a game drive as you look out for various wildlife species such as the big 5.
You will enjoy visiting attractions such as Ol duvai gorge during your 3 days Ngorongoro safari for an experience at an archaeological site. You will also have a cultural experience with the Maasai people who also live in the Ngorongoro conservation area.
Ngorongoro crater is the world’s largest inactive caldera which is home to numerous wildlife species as well as bird species such as flamingos which can be seen during a safari in the crater along the shores of Lake Magadi.
The 3 days Ngorongoro safari will begin in Arusha and also end with drop off in Arusha after the wildlife viewing experience and exploring the attractions around the Ngorongoro crater.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1; pick up and drive to Ngorongoro crater
You will be picked up from the airport by your guide who will welcome you and brief you about your safari. After you have had a short briefing about the 3 days Ngorongoro safari, you will start your drive to Ngorongoro conservation area. You will check in at your lodge and have lunch before your game viewing experience in the crater.
After lunch, you will descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater and enjoy a game drive in search of wildlife species such as elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, cheetahs, rhinos, wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, elands, impalas among others. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Rhino lodge Ngorongoro.
Day 2; full day in Ngorongoro crater
After having breakfast at your lodge, you will visit Ol duvai gorge where you will get an experience of exploring an archaeological site where Dr Louis and Mary Leakey discovered evidence of evolution of humans. After visiting Ol duvai gorge, you will have another experience of visiting Lake Magadi where you will see flamingos along the shores of the lake as well as many other bird species.
You will also have an experience with the Maasai community who live around Ngorongoro conservation area and coexist with the wildlife species. You will have dinner and spend the night at Rhino lodge Ngorongoro.
Day 3; drive to Arusha
On the last day of your 3 days Ngorongoro safari, you will have breakfast at your lodge as you prepare to drive to Arusha where your guide will drop you off at the airport or at your hotel in Arusha and this will bring your safari to an end.
