3 days Mount Kilimanjaro Trek
The 3 days Mount Kilimanjaro Trek is one of the shortest tour packages we offer for clients who are not summit clients, clients with limited time, or clients on a tighter budget who might prefer a short journey up Kilimanjaro. This kind of package is created by Focus East Africa Tours, the top travel agency in Tanzania, to meet your needs. The tour begins as a regular tour but ends at the second hut. After arriving at Horombo Hut (3720m), we simply spend the night there before leaving. The next morning, we descended to the gate while others continued on to the base camp and finally the summit.
The Marangu route, also referred to as the “Coca-Cola” route, is a well-known journey up Mount Kilimanjaro. The oldest and most established route is this one. Due to its more moderate slope, the Marangu route is preferred by many since it is thought to be the simplest path on the mountain. Additionally, it is the only route that provides dormitory-style sleeping huts. Both Mandara and Kibo Huts have 60 bunk beds, and Horombo Hut has 120 bunk beds. Although beds and pillows are provided, sleeping bags are still necessary. The huts contain shared dining areas and simple restrooms, ranging from long drop toilets and buckets of water at Kibo Hut to flushing toilets and running water at the lower huts.
On this journey, you’ll follow the Marangu Route, spending one night at Mandara Hut before continuing on to Horombo Hut, having lunch there, and then climbing back. You won’t make it to the top. You can begin any day of the year on any of the short treks, which are all offered on a private basis. The quick hikes provide hikers with the opportunity to experience the thrill of ascending the highest mountain on the African continent without making it a “must-do.”
