Tarangire National Park is considered to be the sixth largest park in Tanzania, found southeast east of  Manyara National Park in the Northern part of Tanzania. The park’s name is derived from the Tarangire River, which flows through it and serves as the only source of fresh water for animals in the Tarangire ecosystem.   It occupies a total area of 2,850 km² and is 150 km from Arusha. The park is small with twenty-six mammals, famous for large herds of big five animals like; Buffaloes , elephants, zebras, enlands,  Rhinos, Impalas, antelopes, to name a few, and 500 bird species like yellow-necked, helmeted,  barbet,  starling, swift, striped swallows, etc.

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Tarangire National Park

You will be welcomed by our company representative in Tanzania, briefed about the Tanzania safari and then transferred to Tarangire National Park which takes 2-3 hours from Arusha. The park is known for its big baobab trees, large herds of Elephants and numerous bird species. Enjoy your packed lunch.

After going for a game drive in Tarangire National Park and observing various wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, zebras, lions, and leopards, return to your booked lodge later for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning game drive and departure

After having Breakfast at the lodge, you will head out to explore the Park and its Attractions and well as enjoy the amazing game viewing experience as you drive around the Big Boabab trees and savannah in the park.  In the morning, as you exit the park and proceed to Arusha or your drop-off point, you will see a variety of animals that are active at that time, including herds of elephants, zebras, antelopes, elands, lions, gazelles, and various bird species.
